A Special Note from AJT President

Greetings, AJT Community!

The Alliance for Jewish Theatre has always changed and evolved in response to the needs and desires of our community. Willow always liked to talk about "meeting the moment", and the AJT Board is continuing to honor that ideal in our conversations and planning. One thing I am most excited about is our forthcoming Resource Guide for Non-Jewish Theaters Producing Jewish Plays. Board member and playwright Ali Viterbi has been overseeing this project, with insight from many current and new AJT members. I believe this guide will be a major boon to our community and I'm excited to unveil it, by or just after the end of the calendar year!

In the meantime, we've been excited to read the final reports from recipients of AJT's regranting program. It's lovely to see the creative and important work our members are doing in the field. And AJT is continuing to offer our programming for members and non-members. Upcoming is our final Playmakers Lab on November 14th and our next Member Meet-Up on December 12th (see below for more info on those events). In between, we will have our Annual Membership Meeting on December 8th at 1pm ET/10am PT/8pm Israel, and I hope all current members will join us on Zoom. You can register for the meeting here. At that meeting, I will have more to share with you about AJT's future. In anticipation of that meeting, I'd also love to hear your thoughts about what AJT can do for our members, what concerns you have regarding Jewish theater, and what aspirations you have for it, too. You can email executivedirector@alljewishtheatre.org and I'll be able to collect your thoughts and address as many as we can at the Membership Meeting.
